Skin fade or zero fade?
A skin fade takes the shortest part of the sides and back down to the skin. A zero fade uses a very close clipper finish, leaving a little hair at its shortest point. Both blend into longer hair above. Ask your barber which finish suits the look you have in mind.
Choose the height and keep the length you want
Low, mid and high describe where the fade sits around your head. Bring a reference photo and explain where you want the blend to begin. Tell your barber whether the top needs a trim or should be left to grow. The fade height and the length on top are separate choices.

Skin fades are listed at $50 and zero fades at $45, with 30-minute appointments. Current prices and availability are confirmed in the online booking calendar. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Saturday at Shop 11B, 406 Southport Nerang Road, Ashmore, Gold Coast.
